more about usopen-minded, investigative and adventurousWe unite a group of autonomous artists, from widely varying backgrounds, working in a multitude of disciplines. Some are academics, others are self-taught. Some are students, others have many years of experience. They come from various countries. All are professionals. All are exceedingly curious. We are mainly engaged in autonomous art, not really in commercial art. Regularly new artists join the group. We have no ballotage. As an artist (m/f) you are welcome to take part in our initiative as long as you feel you can keep up with our (admittedly fast) pace. There are no costs attached to partnership, it is completely free. But we do expect you to frequently participate in the events and exhibitions we organize. We all need stimulating discussions, inspiring interactions and interesting exchanges of views. Don't you? All activities are centered in the business premises of Alex and Marianne den Ouden in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The building - a former garage - offers a number of workshops and exhibition rooms of diverse character, about 500 m² in all. The building also houses an extensive collection of historical machinetools owned by Alex, as well as his large library of historical engineering textbooks. The location offers an interesting symbiosis between art, artists, (historical) technology and engineering. versatile and experimentalWe cover a wide range of disciplines: paintings, drawings, (mono)prints, photographs, mixed media, sculptures, ceramics, objets trouvés, jewellery, textiles, installations, kinematic objects, poetry, slam, multimedia, music, sound, light, videos, performance - as well as all performing arts. We love to experiment with technology, both traditional and advanced high-tech. We are always looking for cross-overs between disciplines, particularly the more unusual and unconventional. And we play around, without preconceived ideas.
